As the role of identity continues to grow in relation to commerce, health care, online social interaction, government services, law enforcement, national security and more, both organizations and individuals alike face enormous challenges to both understanding the scope of the challenges they face in terms of effective identity management, security and privacy, as well as the nature and implementation of potential solutions. Fundamental research questions pertaining to identity literacy include:
- What are the most effective ways for communicating identity challenges, responsibilities, and solutions to organizations and leadership?
- Do consumers really understand the nature of the risk vs. convenience proposition with respect to protecting and effectively managing their identity?
- How can we measure identity literacy within corporations, government agencies and the consumer marketplace?
